P0455 Evaporative emission leak detected, large leak

What P0455 means
"Evaporative emission control system leak detected, gross leak" is the largest of the three size bands the standard defines for that test. The car pressurises or draws down the fuel vapour system, watches how the pressure holds, and files this code when the result fell into the gross band. P0442 is the small band and P0456 the very small one.
This is a standard code. It means the same thing on every make of vehicle.
What the program shows for P0455
The EVAP leak result in the Full scan's on-board self-tests is that test, printed with the limits the car used. Fuel level matters to this system's own monitor, and it is a Dashboard reading; the Inspection screen reports whether the fuel vapour system monitor has run.
The Dashboard shows Commanded EGR, EGR error, Evap purge, Catalyst temp, O2 sensor (rear), Fuel level and Coolant temp. The Full scan's On-board self-tests list the Catalyst bank, EGR / VVT bank, EVAP leak, EVAP purge flow, EVAP purge valve and Secondary air results as PASS, FAIL or NO RESULT against the car's own limits, and the Inspection screen shows whether the Catalytic converter, Fuel vapour system, Exhaust gas recirculation and Secondary air injection monitors are done or still running.
