P0562 System voltage low

What P0562 means
"System voltage low" is a measurement of the car's own electrical supply as the engine computer reads it, held against a low limit written into that computer. The code says the measured voltage sat under that limit and stops there: the name gives the reading and the direction, not where in the electrical system the figure was taken. Its twin P0563, "System voltage high", is the same reading crossing the limit at the top.
This is a standard code. It means the same thing on every make of vehicle.
What the program shows for P0562
System voltage is one of the banded gauges: 13.2 to 14.8 V reads green, outside that amber, and under 12.8 V red — 15.2 V is where the red begins on the other side. Unlike the idle bands this one applies at any engine speed, and the Trip screen's Highest and lowest seen list keeps the lowest figure that gauge showed across the whole session.
The Dashboard shows Vehicle speed, Engine speed with its warm-idle band, Relative throttle, Throttle actuator and System voltage, plus Oil temp (the program has no oil pressure reading). The Trip screen keeps Distance, Average speed, Time moving and Time idling, and the Analysis screen's At idle table gives the idle rpm for a recording.
