What P0507 means
"Idle control system RPM higher than expected" is the same comparison as P0506 read the other way: with the pedal released, the engine speed the computer measured sat above the idle speed it was asking for. "Than expected" is the car's own commanded idle for the conditions of that moment rather than one fixed number, and the code records that difference and nothing more.
This is a standard code. It means the same thing on every make of vehicle.
What the program shows for P0507
The same warm-idle band on the Engine speed card reads the other way here: amber over 900 rpm, red over 1,050, and no colour at all above 1,100 rpm, where the program stops applying the band. Relative throttle carries its own idle band beside it, 0 to 2%, under that same rule.
The Dashboard shows Vehicle speed, Engine speed with its warm-idle band, Relative throttle, Throttle actuator and System voltage, plus Oil temp (the program has no oil pressure reading). The Trip screen keeps Distance, Average speed, Time moving and Time idling, and the Analysis screen's At idle table gives the idle rpm for a recording.
